On vacation in a house like home

COMFORT
We wish to make our guests' stay extremely comfortable. Therefore, we try to provide as much as possible in the home, just like in a standard household. This way, you don't have to worry too much about what to bring and what not to bring on your trip. It gives you a carefree feeling when you arrive and when you return home. Clothes in the suitcase, ready to go... In short, you have the benefits of home without the drawbacks of a hotel.
BEDROOMS
The beds are made, so you do not need to provide any bed linen. The beds are king-size: 180 cm wide, 200 cm long.
For babies, we offer a travel cot and accessories, as well as a high chair. Please let us know in advance.
BATHROOM
Bath towels are provided for all guests, as well as shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, and hand soap.
The bathroom contains a shower, toilet, and 2 sinks.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with all standard appliances: refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and classic coffee maker. Furthermore, you have all eating and drinking utensils.
You will also find these small necessities in the kitchen and do not need to replenish them:
Kitchen towels, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, aluminum foil, baking paper, cling film, coffee,
tea, sugar, coffee filters and spices.
CLEANING and LAUNDRY
The house is cleaned before your arrival, and we will do the same after your departure. So you don't have to do anything. Should you wish to do a few things around the house, a vacuum cleaner is available, as well as cleaning supplies.
There is a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and clothes rack, as well as laundry detergents.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
THE FRONT DOOR N°12 : check-in from 15u00, check-out until 11u00
THE FRONT DOOR N°28 : check-in from 17u00, check-out until 13u00
We will let you know in any case when the property is ready and available, even if this happens sooner.
DOGS
Dogs are allowed in holiday home THE FRONT DOOR N°28, provided this is discussed with us in advance and only with our approval. The dog must stay on the ground floor for the entire duration of the stay and is also not allowed on the sofa. We require a deposit of 100 euros for this, if everything goes smoothly, you will receive this deposit back. If we notice that the dog was upstairs, you will forfeit this deposit. We are dog lovers ourselves. We enjoy traveling with our dogs and prefer to avoid the stress of a dog hotel. It is rare to find holiday accommodation where a dog is allowed to stay, we are happy to offer this, but we wish for the stay to remain respectful. This ensures that it remains feasible for everyone in the future. We have had many wonderful experiences with dogs, but also a few very negative ones. We do not want the negative experiences to outweigh the genuine dog lovers we are always happy to welcome. Hence, our understanding regarding the deposit. If you wish to take your dog for a walk, there is a very spacious terrace attached to the house.
We do not allow dogs in holiday home THE FRONT DOOR N°12. This property is not suitable for them.
DAY CARE
We accept bookings for 1 night, except during weekends.
PARKING
THE FRONT DOOR N°12: a parking disc is required on the street of the property itself (max. 2 hours, Mon-Sat, from 9 am to 6 pm), as well as in the surrounding streets Veemarkt and Surmont de Volsberghestraat. Parking at Vanpeerenboomplein is paid parking. You can park for free and for the long term 7 days a week along Minneplein.
Please note that there are many festivities in Ypres city centre, so this may affect parking regulations.
THE FRONT DOOR N°28: there is a parking garage at the property with space for 1 car. You can park in the streets surrounding the property using a parking disc (max. 2 hours, Mon-Sat, from 9 am to 6 pm). You can park for free and for the long term 7 days a week, a 5-minute walk away, on Oudstrijderslaan, as well as in the car park at the station.
TV on WI-FI
The home features a smart TV with streaming services (such as Netflix), but no traditional TV subscription or connection for live regular channels.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the home.
BOOKING
- You can book our holiday home in three ways: by phone, by email, or via the website www.thefrontdoor.be. Upon receipt of your inquiry or booking, you will receive confirmation of your stay as soon as possible.
- A few days before your arrival, you will receive an email with all practical details.
- Upon reservation, a deposit must be paid within 7 calendar days. This deposit is equal to the price of the first night. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 1 month before check-in. For reservations made within one month of check-in, the entire amount must be paid in full at once.
- Payment options: bank transfer, cash, or Payconiq. No payment terminal, no credit cards.
- Cancellations are non-refundable, for any reason whatsoever. Amounts already paid are forfeited.
GARBAGE
Garbage bags are provided in the home; you only need to sort into the designated bins: PMD, glass, and paper. We will take the garbage away for you afterwards.
NIGHT NOISE
Are you also looking forward to a relaxing stay in Ypres and a refreshing night's sleep in your king-size bed? Therefore, we kindly ask you to keep quiet after 10 p.m., both indoors, on the terrace, and in front of the house.
SMOKING
The holiday homes are completely smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on the terrace, an ashtray is provided.
